Herpes Stds
Herpes stds, such as oral and genital herpes, cannot be diagnosed with a colposcopy exam, but with a special blood test.
Symptoms may last several weeks and go away and they may return in weeks, months, or years. The most common symptom is a cluster of blistery sores — usually on the vagina, vulva, cervix, penis, buttocks, or anus. There are usually no symptoms of the virus after the initial outbreak.

The virus is more active when there are visible sores. It can be passed from one partner to another — or from one part of the body to another. The virus is spread by touching, kissing, and sexual contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral intercourse. Herpes stds, such as oral and genital herpes, cannot be diagnosed with a colposcopy exam, but with a special blood test.
