Genital vaginal wart viruses are HPV, that also includes the verruca and condyloma.
Only about three or four percent of pap smears will show the virus. Strains of the HPV virus are the main cause of pap smear abnormalities. Infections from these certain types of virus could lead to pre-cancer (dysplasia) of the cervix.
