Removing Warts
Removing warts does not remove the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), thus, immune therapy to suppress symptomatic re emergence is beneficial.
There is no ideal remedy. Treatment measures are aimed at removing symptoms only. They are: benign neglect (not recommended for extensive and spreading disease,) topical agents (salicylic acid, cantharidin, podophyllin, imiquimod, cidofovir, podophyllotoxin, and tretinoin,) intralesional injections (bleomycin, interferon alpha,) systemic agents (cimetidine and retinoids,) and alternative treatments.

Removing Warts -
HPV, Human Papilloma Virus
This condition is usually caused by some strains of HPV. The infection affects the skin on hands, soles, genitalia, and mucous membranes; it can occur in any age, but increases at 12-16 years. The disease is asymptomatic, but may cause cosmetic disfigurement and tenderness. Malignant change is rare. Removing warts does not remove the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), thus, immune therapy to suppress symptomatic re emergence is beneficial.
